Former Ames Department Store, Binghamton, NY

This building here originally started out as W.T. Grant, than Barkers, than Kings, than finally, Ames

It's currently unknown if this building was ever once a Grant City store or not. After Grant's closed it became a location of the regional discount department store chain Barkers. They, as a whole, were acquired by a similar competitor, King's. History would repeat itself as King's themselves would later be acquired by yet another discounter, Ames, who operated a store at this location up until they went went out of business as a whole in 2002.

Nothing has changed with the exterior of the building since the days of Barkers

This is where the Ames sign was mounted

Some fixtures were left inside as well

After being vacant and abandoned for years, the building, eventually, and finally, found a new tenant
