This Walmart moved to a super center in the 2000's and is one of the oldest Walmart's in the state of RI. It was either the first or second store in the state (the other one being Westerly) This Job Lot has many remnants of Walmart.

According to the Walmart Store Opening list, this store opened 7/25/1995, so this was more or less the third Walmart in the state (the two that opened before it are Westerly [opened 06/01/1993, expanded 2003] and Woonsocket [opened 10/18/1994 at 1919 Diamond Hill Rd, also partially occupied by an Ocean State Job Lot]).
ReplyDeleteSince most fixtures are from auctions, no doubt those probably came from an Ames store, most likely not from the nearest store though. There might be the slightest possibility those movies and Xbox accessories are from a thrift store (as stated elsewhere, Job Lot is more than happy to acquire merchandise and fixtures from former thrift stores).
